Regarding the COVID 19 Developments

Dear Sweet Melissa’s Cafe Patrons and Friends,

For the past 13 years, our mission has been to provide great customer service while upholding the highest standards in all aspects of our business. Our mission continues even during these challenging times. In light of the situation around COVID-19 (commonly known as the Coronavirus), we wanted to provide an update on our current actions and highlight the actions we are taking to protect the health and safety of all who join us at Sweet Melissa’s Cafe.

Our staff has always adhered to the highest cleanliness and followed all food safety precautions to ensure the health and wellness of our guests and staff—and we will continue to do so. 

In addition to following the guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local health departments; we are taking a number of steps to reinforce our internal illness prevention policies including increasing the frequency of our standard cleaning procedures, suspending Happy Hour and live music and allowing for more space between tables.

As our patrons, we ask that you join us in following these guidelines: 

• Attend the Cafe only if you are well. If you believe you are ill or would like to cancel or modify a reservation please contact us at (239) 472–1956 and we will be happy to assist you.

• Use a common-sense approach to avoid the spread of an illness such as covering your nose/mouth when you sneeze or cough, frequently wash your hands, etc.

For those who do not wish to dine in, we are happy to provide your favorite dishes for take-out including parking lot pickup upon request

We appreciate your participation in protecting the health and safety of our community, our team, and our patrons. The coming weeks will be filled with uncertainty and will most definitely be challenging for our community. We are committed to working with you, government agencies, first responders, and others to ensure that locals and visitors are safe and fed.
